If you answered yes to either of these questions and are looking to have some fun, then you may be interested in checking out Are You Certifiable?, a new online game from Microsoft and Fuel Industries.

Are you Certifiable?

This fun interactive game promotes the benefits of Microsoft certification by asking IT and development professionals to prove their know-how in a series of tech knowledge challenges.

What kind of game is this?

Are You Certifiable? is a Silverlight-based quiz game which digs deep into the mental resources of technicians and developers alike, in the process of determining who can meet and who can fly beyond the rigorous standards of Microsoft Certification.

The game is a unique approach which will not only spread awareness of the benefits of MS Certification and the Second Shot promotion, but also provide a valuable primer for professionals interested in taking a certification exam.

Divided into four seasons, each containing five episodes, Are You Certifiable? is styled after today’s ubiquitous TV quiz shows, and brings a fun approach to tech knowledge while demystifying the topic of Microsoft certifications.

Players select their area of expertise, either development or IT, choose their character and can either play as a guest, or register to track their score and see how they stack up against other IT and dev pros playing. Along the way, trivia buffs will unlock bonus mini-games where they can win Vouchers, special one-use tokens that grant the player advantages in their attempts to master Microsoft’s challenge.

Choose a character, select your field of expertise, and pit yourself against the entire online tech community in a quest for Tech IQ supremacy, a top spot on the leaderboard — and ultimate bragging rights.

You missed Clippy, didn’t you?

Even if you’re not planning to take a certification exam anytime soon, anyone who’s used a PC in the last 15 years will likely get a kick out of seeing Clippy the Paperclip (everyone’s favorite uber-helpful piece of stationary equipment) as a playable avatar.

    This is pathetic. It might get you Microsoft certification, but the first question that I got was related to secure wireless networking. Microsoft’s answer is still, after all this time, WEP. I don’t know about anyone else, but I am not about to rely on WEP for secure wireless networking. This ‘game’ is yet another embarrassment to Microsoft.

    This is basically a free Microsoft practice test in disguise…but much funner, and did i mention FREE? I’ll take it!
